Tomàs Bases presents the Cómic-Wood collection on Artsy through the Uxval Gochez gallery  (Barcelona).

These pieces are made from solid woods that are sanded and polished with natural wax, without stains or varnishes, expressly selected for each piece, cut with laser light, and carefully assembled.

With this collection of ten works in total, Bases explores his passion for noble woods, the precision of laser cutting, and the aroma of natural wax, playing with the language of comics and fantasy. The highlight of this proposal is the three-dimensional interpretation of his illustrations, a result of his background as a 3D illustrator. This is popular art, honest and surprising in its complexity and delicacy, resulting from a year of research and development in the techniques used.

Each of these designs has a total of three reproductions, one in the author's possession and two for sale.

Due to the nature of the woods, the three reproductions of each design never have an identical finish.
